Unhappy Happy has been granted another early acceptance into a festival!

Unhappy Happy will be part of The Seattle True Independent Film Festival. True to its name, STIFF showcases "true independent films. Films without big budgets and Hollywood Stars. Films that rely on creativity and passion to tell the story."

We are excited to be part of this brave, egalitarian and visionary festival. Unhappy Happy screens on Monday, May 5th at 8:00 pm at The Grand Illusion Cinema.

Congratulations to Victoria Murdoch for her Honourable Mention, Best Actress Award at the Queens World Film Festival! We are so happy that Victoria's considerable dramatic and comedic skills were recognized by the festival.

Unhappy Happy had another successful screening while in Queens. The screening was attended by director Rob Shaw and actors Martin Lindquist, Victoria Murdoch and Aaron Michael Reilly.

Thanks to the Queens World Film Festival for providing a truly wonderful environment for the appreciation of film. And thank you to festival directors Katha and Don Cato for including us and warmly welcoming us to your festival!

We are proud to announce that our lead actress, Victoria Murdoch, has been nominated for Best Actress at the Queens World Film Festival! Clearly, Victoria's funny, charming and beautiful performance was appreciated by the festival's jurors.

This makes for the second award nomination for "Unhappy Happy" at the Queens World Film Festival!

Victoria Murdoch will be on hand at the screening of "Unhappy Happy" at the festival, which takes place on March 8th, 2014 at 6:30 pm at the Nesva Hotel.

Unhappy Happy has been officially nominated for Best Narrative Feature at the Queens World Film Festival! Best Narrative Feature and other winners will be announced during the festival. Wish us luck!

Unhappy Happy has gone international!

Unhappy Happy has received its first invitation to screen at a film festival south of the border. Unhappy Happy is now an official selection of the Queens World Film Festival in NYC. The Queens World Film Festival, which will run from March 4th to 9th, is a well-run and thoughtfully organized celebration of local and international film. Unhappy Happy will be shown on Saturday, March 8th at 6:30 pm at the Nesva Hotel.

Some of the cast and crew of the film will be in attendance at the festival screening, including Rob Shaw (director), Marty Lindquist (Case), Victoria Murdoch (Nellie) and Aaron Michael Reilly (Cary).

Unhappy Happy will screen at 10:20 pm on Dec. 27th, 2013 at the Daring Independent Film Festival, in Measure Theatre, 296 Brunswick Ave., Toronto. The director, Rob Shaw, will be in attendance as well as members of the cast. It will be a fun evening at this plucky and "daring" festival!

Unhappy Happy has been honoured with an early acceptance to the Daring Independent Film Festival (formerly Moving Images Film Festival)! DIFF is known as a champion of true independent films that are innovative, unorthodox and . . . well . . . daring! DIFF will be taking place in Toronto, December 26th to 29th, 2013.

Unhappy Happy has been named Best Micro-Budget Feature at the 2013 Toronto Independent Film Festival!

Congratulations to everyone involved in the making of Unhappy Happy, and thanks to Steve Veale, Richard Greene, George Shewchuk, and Penny Williams of the Toronto Indie Film Festival for hosting us and giving us this honour.

Unhappy Happy had a triumphant, world-premiere screening in the beautifully renovated and modernized Carlton Cinema in Toronto. Toronto Indie Film Festival Director Steve Veale introduced the film, and the principal cast was in attendance to watch the sold-out show.

Unhappy Happy is now an official selection of the Toronto Independent Film Festival! Unhappy Happy will make its world premiere on September 12th, 2013 at 9:30 pm at the Carlton Cinema.
